Ariane Milicev holds an MA in art history and history from the University of Zurich. During her studies, she spent two semesters abroad at the University of Birmingham and the University La Sapienza in Rome. She did research at the Bibliotheca Hertziana for her master’s thesis. In this thesis, she wrote about Italian caricatures in the early modern period with the title Das doppelseitige Karikaturenblatt der Graphischen Sammlung ETH Zürich. Karikaturen des Pier Francesco Mola und seiner Zeitgenossen. Also, she gained work experience as a curatorial assistant at the Kunst Museum Winterthur. Currently, she is working on the project of Artistic Failures in Renaissance Ceramics with a focus on the region of Istria, supervised by Dr. Zuzanna Sarnecka.
